The Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre is an unincorporated joint-venture governed by a nine member Board.
The Board comprises (i) an independent chairperson, (ii) one representative from each Australian Essential Participant, (iii) one representative of the Tasmanian Government, (iv) two persons independent of the Participants and (v) the CEO and an additional representative from AAD who are ex-officio members.

Dr Woodthorpe is a management adviser and professional director, specialising in innovation and commercialisation.

INDEPENDENT
Mr Coleman is a director of Lonergan Edwards & Associates Ltd with extensive experience in senior roles in the insurance, investment and finance sectors.

AUSTRALIAN ANTARCTIC DIVISION
Ex Officio
Dr Gwen Fenton is the Chief Scientist for the Australian Antarctic Division, with a PhD in marine science and extensive experience in science strategic planning.

AUSTRALIAN ANTARCTIC DIVISION
Dr Gales is Director of the Australian Antarctic Division and Chief Science Advisor to the Australian Government’s Department of Environment. Dr Gales has spent his career working in applied science, particularly in relation to the use and delivery of science for policy development and implementation.

INDEPENDENT
Mr Hagart has an extensive background in financial services which include senior roles with the Australian Government's Future Fund, the United Nations Environment Program in Geneva, Greenhill & Co. in London, and most recently as the CEO of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI).

UNIVERSITY OF TASMANIA
Professor Brigid Heywood is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), is responsible for research policy development and furthering the profile of research at The University of Tasmania.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr Kelleher was previously Secretary of the Tasmanian Government Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts, and haspreviously held a number of senior roles in the renewable energy sector.

CSIRO
Professor Worby is Director of CSIRO Oceans & Atmosphere, and was a former CEO of the ACE CRC.
